Platic pallet weight and what it does to freight
The platic pallet from ACERLO is Stiropallet, a thermoformed EPS pallet that weighs 9.9 lb in the standard 39.4 × 47.2 in size. A wood pallet of the same size weighs 33 to 55 lb.
Stiropallet does not absorb moisture, so its weight does not change in the rainy season. Since air freight is priced by weight, the calculator on this page estimates the savings against wood.
Each platic pallet holds up to 4,400 lb static and 1,760 lb dynamic load. ACERLO makes them in Santa Catarina, near Monterrey, and delivers to the United States in 5 to 10 days.

ACERLO thermoforms it in EPS. The surface is smooth, hygienic and non-porous.
Does a platic pallet absorb water?
No. Stiropallet does not absorb moisture, keeps its weight in the rainy season and is easy to clean.
Can a platic pallet cross into the United States without fumigation?
Yes. A platic pallet from ACERLO meets ISPM 15 with no heat treatment, fumigation or stamp.
